Solve for x: 2x – y = (3/4)x + 6.

when x is 4, then y is - 1

2x - ( 3 /4 ) x = 6 + y
8x - 3x / 4. = 6 + y
5x / 4 = 6 + y
5x = 4 ( 6+ y )
5x = 24 + 4y
x =( 24 + 4 y ) / 5 is the final answer.
