3(2x – 1) – 2(5x + 2) = 3(x – 5)

6x - 3 - 10x - 4 = 3x - 15
6x - 10x - 3x = - 15 + 3 + 4
- 7x = - 8
x = 8/7

Answer:

  • The value of x is 8/7.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

  • 3(2x - 1) - 2(5x + 2) = 3(x - 5) \\

To Find,

  • The value of x.

Solution,

  • → 3(2x - 1) - 2(5x + 2) = 3(x - 5)

  • → 6x - 3 - 10x - 4 = 3x - 15

  • → - 4x - 7 = 3x - 15

  • → - 4x - 3x = - 15 + 7

  • → - 7x = - 8

  • → x = 8/7

Verification,

 : \implies 3(2x - 1) - 2(5x + 2) = 3(x - 5) \\ \\ : \implies 3(2( \frac{8}{7} ) - 1) - 2(5( \frac{8}{7}) + 2) = 3(( \frac{8}{7} ) - 5) \\ \\ : \implies 3( \frac{16}{7} - 1) - 2( \frac{40}{7} + 2) = 3( \frac{8}{7} - 5) \\ \\ : \implies 3( \frac{9}{7} ) - 2( \frac{54}{7} ) = 3( - \frac{27}{7} ) \\ \\ : \implies \frac{27}{7} - \frac{108}{7} = - \frac{81}{7} \\ \\ : \implies - \frac{81}{7} = - \frac{81}{7} \\ \\ : \implies LHS = RHS

Required Answer,

  • The value of x is 8/7.
