Answer:-

 \mathsf{7x+8 = 3(x-1)+2}

 \mathsf{7x+8 = 3x-3+2}

 \mathsf{7x-3x = -3+2-8}

 \mathsf{4x = -11+2}

 \mathsf{4x = -9}

 \mathsf{x =  -  \frac{9}{4} }

Therefore, value of x = -9/4
