Whenever we will see that nothing is happening, we are not be able to proceed our solution any more we will simply apply Sridhar Acharyya's formula :

x = \frac{ - b ±\sqrt{ {b}^{2} - 4ac} }{2a}

The solution to this question was given in a picture above. Have a look into it. But besides everything, first of all read the book very well, collect information regarding Sridhar Acharyya's formula. After that we will be able to easily solve these kind of maths without any immense fear.
