x²+1 = 3x

x²-3x +1 = 0

x² -3x +1 a = 1 b = -3 c = 1

applying on Quadratic equation,

x = -(-3) +/-√[(-3)² - (4×1×1)] / 2

= 3 +/- √[ 9 - 4 ] / 2

= 3 +/- √5 / 2

x = 3 + √5 /2 x = 3 - √5 / 2

= 3 + 2.23 / 2 = 3 - 2.23 / 2

= 2.615 = 0.385

Answer:

x^{2} +1 = 3x

x^{2} - 3x + 1=0

For a quadratic equation of the form ax²+bx+c=0 the solutions are

x = \frac{-b +- \sqrt{b^{2} -4ac} }{2a}

for a=1, b= -3, c=1

x = \frac{-(-3)+- \sqrt{(-3)^{2} -4(1)(1)} }{2(1)}

x = \frac{-(-3)+-\sqrt{5} }{2}

x = \frac{3+\sqrt{5} }{2}  , \frac{3-\sqrt{5} }{2}
