solve for x and verify the result 1/2x+2=5x-7

it can also be written as

5x-7 = (1/2)x+2

5x-(1/2)x = 2+7 (clubbing x together)

5x-(1/2)x =9

(10x-1x)/2 = 9 (taking LCM)

9x/2 =9

9x = 18

x = 18/2

x=2
