 \frac{1}{2} x \:  +  \frac{1}{3} y \:  = 2.......(1) \\  \frac{1}{3} x +  \frac{1}{2} y =  \frac{13}{6} ..........(2) \\mutiply \: by \: 2 \: in \: (1) \: in \: (2) \: multiply \: by \: 3 \\  => x +  \frac{2}{3} y = 4....(3) \\  => x +  \frac{3}{2} y =  \frac{13}{2} .......(4) \\  =>  -  -  -  -  -  -  - subtract \\ y( \frac{2}{3}  -  \frac{3}{2} ) = 4 -  \frac{13}{2}  \\  y( \frac{4 - 9}{6} ) =  \frac{8 - 13}{2}  \\ y =  \frac{ - 5}{2}  \times  \frac{6}{ - 5}  \\ y =  \frac{6}{2}  \\ y = 3 \\ put \: this \: value \: in \: equation \: (3) \\ x +  \frac{2}{3}  \times 3 = 4 \\ x + 2 = 4 \\ x = 2 \\ hence \: x = 2 \: and \: y = 3
