x+y=3. 1)

4x−3y=26. 2)

multiply eqn1) by 3

3x +3y = 9 3)

add eqn 2) and 3)

we get 7x=35

x=35÷7

x=5

put x=5 in eqn 1)

5+y=3

y=3−5

y=−2
