(x+y=8)x3

3x+3y=24

2x-3y=1

5x+0=25

x=25/5

x=5

putting value x=5

3x+36=24

3x5+3y=24

3y=24-15

y=9/3

y=

step 1:

= x+y=8

= x+y-y=8-y

= x+0=8-y

= x=8-y

step 2:

= 2x-3y=1

= 2(8-y)-3y=1

= (2.8)-(2.y)-3y=1

= 16-2y-3y=1

= -16+16-5y=-16+1

= 0-5y=-15

= -5y=-15

=-5y/-5=-15/-5

= -5y/-5=3

step 3:

= x=8-y

= x=8-3

= x=5

the solution is

x= 5 and y= 3 or (5,3)
