Heya !!!

12X + Y - 8 = 0

12X + Y = 8 ---------(1)

And,

2X + 3Y + 10 = 0

2X + 3Y = -10 -------(2)

From equation (1) we get,

12X + Y = 8

12X = ( 8 - Y )

X = ( 8 - Y )/12 -------(3)

Putting the value of X in equation (2)

2X + 3Y = -10

2 × ( 8 - Y /12) + 3Y = -10

8 - Y/6 + 3Y = -10

8 - Y + 18Y = -60

17Y = -60-8

Y = -68/17 = -4

Putting the value of Y in equation (3)

X = ( 8 - Y)/12 = (8+4)/12 = 12/12

X = 1.

Hence,

X = 1 and Y = -4.
