Hello !!

X - Y = 3 ----------(1)

And,

X/3 + Y/2 = 6

2X + 3Y = 36 -------(2)

From equation (1) we get,

X - Y = 3

X = ( 3 + Y ) --------(3)

Putting the value of X in equation (2)

2X + 3Y = 36

2 × ( 3 + Y ) + 3Y = 36

6 + 2Y + 3Y = 36

5Y = 36-6

Y = 30/5 = 6

Putting the value of Y in equation (3)

X = ( 3 + Y ) = 3+6 = 9

Hence,

X = 9 and Y = 6.
