2x-3y = 13 .....(1) × 2
7x - 2y = 20 .....(2) × 3
Multiply eq.(1) with 2 and eq.(2) with 3.
= 4x - 6y = 26 ....(3)
= 21 x - 6y = 60 ....(4)
On doing (3) - (4)
We get ,
-17x = -34
=> x = 2
Put this value in eq.(3)
4*(2) - 6y = 26
-6y = 26 - 8
y = 18/-6
y = -3
Therefore, x = 2 and y = -3.

hello users ..........
we have given that :
2x-3y=13 ...............(1)
and
7x-2y=20 ................(2)
we have to find x and y
solution:-
multiply equation (1) by 7 and (2) by 2 ,we get
14x -21y = 91 ......(1)
and
14x - 4y =40 .........(2)
now subtracting (1) from (2)
we get
-4y - (-21y) = 40 - 91
=> 17y = -51
=> y = -3
putting value of y in (2) we get
14x -4 × -3 = 40
=> 14x = 40 - 12 = 28
=> x = 2
Hence
x= 2
and
y = -3 answer
