Solve for x and y : 2x + 3y = 17 ; 2x +2 – 3 y+1 = 5.

2x + 3y = 17

2x +2 – 3 y+1 = 5

2x-3y =5+1

2x-3y =6

2x + 3y = 17

2x - 3y =7

y=10/6

y =5/3

2x-3(5/3) =6

2x-5 =6

2x=6+5
