=> 3y - 4x = - 2

=> 4x - 3y = 2 _______ (eq 2)

=> 4x - 2y = 4 ______ (eq 3)

Now..

Subtract (eq 2) from (eq 3)

=> 4x - 3y - (4x - 2y) = 2 - 4

=> 4x - 3y - 4x + 2y = - 2

=> - y = - 2

=> y = 2

• Put value of y in (eq 2)

=> 4x - 3(2) = 2

=> 4x - 6 = 2

=> 4x = 8

=> x = 2
