Solve for x and y:
2x+y=6
2x-y+2=0

Answer :

2x + y = 6

2x - y = - 2

Adding both the equations -

2x + y + 2x - y = 6 - 2

4x = 4

x = 4/4

∴ x = 1

Putting the value of x in (i) -

2x + y = 6

2 + y = 6

y = 4
