Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

53x+37y=400-----1

37x+53y=320-----2

Adding 1&2

90x+90y=720

X+Y=720-90

------=80-------3

Sibtractin 2 from 1

16x-16y=80

X-Y=5------4

Now from these two eq you can solve hope it helps plz mark it as BRAINLIEST took a lot of hard work plz

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

37x+53y=320------(i)

53x+37y=400-------(ii)

Adding eqn. (i) and (ii)------ we get----

90x+90y=720

i.e. x+y=8-------(iii)

Now subtracting eqn. (i) from (ii)-----we get-

16x-16y=80

i.e. x-y=5-------(iv)

Adding eqn. (iii) and (iv) we get

2x=13

x=13/2

now putting the value of x in eqn .(iii) we get-----

y=8-13/2

y=3/2

HENCE x=13/2 and y =3/2
