Answer:

3x-2 = 5y-1

3x-5y = 1 -----------(1)

x-3y-1 = 0

x-3y = 1 ----------(2)

equation (2) x 3

3x-5y = 1

3x-15y = 3

--------------- Subtract

10y = -2

y = -2/10

y = -1/5

Substitute value of y in equation (1),

3x-5(-1/5) = 1

3x +1 = 1

3x = 0

x = 0

hope it helps.......

3x-2=5y-1

3x-5y=-1+2

3x-5y-1=0 ---------------eq-(1)

x-3y-1=0-----------------eq-(2)

eq(2)--x3

3x-9y-3=0---------------eq-(3)

subtract equation (1)&(3)

3x-5y=1 3x is cancelled

3x-9y=3

- + -

__________

+4y=-2

4y=-2

y = -2/4

((y= -1/2)). value of y

put the value of y in equation (1)

3x-5y-1=0

3x-5(-1/2)-1=0

3x+5/2=1

3x=1-5/2

3x=-3/2

x=(-3/2)/3/1

x=-3/3x 1/3

x=-3/9

x=-1/3

X=-1/3

y=-1/2
