HEY

HERE IS ANSWER.

Question -
solve for x and y 3x +2y=-4 and 2x-y=-12

Now

Solution -

given

3x+2y=-4

and

2x-y=-12

let

3x+2y be equation 1

and
2x-y be equation 2.

so

we can use elimination method here.

here first we have to balance a digit before variables i e either x or y.

hence

equation (1)* 2 and equation (2)*3

so now

new equation

6x+4y=-8______(3)

and

6x-3y=-36_______(4)

now

use elimination method or any method.

which you like.i.e.cross multiplication or substitution.

but i am using elimination method.

from equation (3) and (4)

6x+4y=-8
6x-3y=-36
-.. +.... +
__________
. 7y=28

y=28/7

y=4

put the value of y in equation 3.

6x+4(4)=-8

6x=-8-16

6x=-24

x=-24/6

x=-4

HOPE IT HELPS

THANKS
