Answer:

4x+6/y=15 and 6x-8/y= 14

let 1/y= m

so the equations become,

4x+6m=15 and 6x-8m= 14

multiplying the 1st equation by 4 we get,

4(4x+6m)= 4×15

16x+24m=60...(1)

multiplying the 2nd equation by 3 we get,

3(6x-8m)= 3×14

18x-24m=42...(2)

adding (1) and (2) we get,

18x-24m+16x+24m=102

34x= 102

x= 102/34

x= 3

now putting x= 3 in (1) we get,

4x+6m=15

12+6m= 15

6m= 3

m= 1/2=1/y

so y=2

now we have to find p in

y=px-2

2= 3p-2

p= 4/3

hope it helps you
