hey miss shruti
here is ur answer
▶▶▶▶▶▶▶▶▶
Let A=1/(x-1)
&. B=1/(y-2)
so now eq
5A+B=2 ....(I)
6A-3B=1......(ii)
Now multiply eq (I) with 3 and then add with eq (ii)

15A+3B=6
6A -3B=1
---------------
21A=7
A =7/21=1/3
now put A=1/3 in eq (I)
5×(1/3)+B=2
B=2-5/3
B=1/3

so A=1/(x-1)=1/3. B=1/(y-2)=1/3
3=x-1. 3=y-2

x=4. y=5

I hope this will help

5/(x-1) + 1/(y-2)=2
6/(x-1) - 3/(y-2)=1
Let 1/(x-1) = a
1/(y-2)= b
Therefore, 5a + b = 2...........equation 1
6a - 3b = 1...........equation 2
Eq1 - Eq2

Eq1 * - 3 = - 15a - 3b = - 6
Eq2* 1 = 6a - 3b = 1
- + -
____________________
- 21a+0 = - 7

-21a = - 7
a = - 7/-21
= 1/3
From eq1
5*1/3 - b = 2
5/3 - b = 2
b = 2 - 5/3
= (6-5)/3
= 1/3
b = 1/3
1/x-1 = 1/3
x-1 = 3
x = 3+1
= 4
1/y- 2 = 1/3
y-2 = 3
y = 3+2
= 5
X = 4
Y = 5
Hope this will helps you.....
