Let to be 1/x-1=a
Let to be 1/y-2=b
then,

5a+b=2 *6
6a-3b=1*5

30a+6b=12
30a-15b=5
_________
21b=7
b=7/21=1/3

then,
putting the value of b in another equation...

6a-3b=1
6a-3*1/3=1
6a-1=1
6a=1+1
6a=2
a=2/6
a=1/3

then,

1/x-2=1/3
x-2=3

x=3+2
x=5
Again

1/y-2=1/3
y-2=3
y=3+2
y=5

that's all

Answer:

Let to be 1/x-1=a

Let to be 1/y-2=b

then,

5a+b=2 *6

6a-3b=1*5

30a+6b=12

30a-15b=5

_________

21b=7

b=7/21=1/3

then,

putting the value of b in another equation...

6a-3b=1

6a-3*1/3=1

6a-1=1

6a=1+1

6a=2

a=2/6

a=1/3

then,

1/x-2=1/3

x-2=3

x=3+2

x=5

Again

1/y-2=1/3

y-2=3

y=3+2

y=5
