SOLUTION:-

Given:

Equation,

5x -4y= -14..........(1)

3x +2y= -4...........(2)

To find:

The value of x & y.

Now,

From equation (1), we get;

5x -4y =-14

=) 5x = -14 + 4y

=) x = -14+4y/5.......(3)

So,

Eliminate the value of x in equation (2)* we get;

 =  > 3( \frac{ - 14 + 4y}{5} ) + 2y =  - 4 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{ - 42 + 12y}{5}  + 2y =  - 4 \\  \\  =  >  - 42 + 12y + 10y =  - 20 \\  \\  =  >  - 42 + 22y =  - 20 \\  \\  =  >22y =  - 20 + 42 \\  \\  =  > 22y = 22 \\  \\  =  > y =  \frac{22}{22}  \\  \\  =  > y = 1

Therefore,

Put the value of y in equation (3), we get;

x =  \frac{ - 14 +4(1)}{5}  \\  \\  =  >  \frac{ - 14 + 4}{5}  \\  \\  =  >  \frac{ - 10}{5}  \\  \\  =  >x =   - 2

Hence,

The value of x = -2 & y= 1

Hope it helps ☺️
