3x-y=3 ------(1)

4x-y =-8 ------(2)

now, by elimination method,

by ,substracting (1) & (2), we get

-x = 11

x = -11

substituting x in (1) , we get

y = 36.

hope it helps.....

3x-y=3 ; 4x-y=-8

solving by elimination method,

3x-y=3

4x-y=-8

_______

-x= -11

so,x=11

putting the value of x in 3x-y=3

3(11)-y=3

33-y=3

y=3-33

y=30

Rajput0111: I think y = 30
