Answer:

x = 3/2 , y = 2/3

Explanation:

Given

8x-9y=6xy

divide each term by xy we get

=> 8/y - 9/x = 6 ----(1)

and

10x+6y = 19xy

Divide each term by xy , we get

=> 10/y + 6/x = 19 -----(2)

Let 1/x = a and 1/y = b

Now , equations becomes,

8b - 9a = 6 ---(3)

and

10b + 6a = 19 ----(4)

multiply equation (1) by 6 and

equation (2) by 9 ,we get

=> 48b - 54a = 36 ---(5)

and

90b + 54a = 171 ---(6)

add equations (5)& (6) , we get

=> 138b = 207

=> b = 207/138

=> b = 69/46 = 3/2

put b = 3/2 in equation (3) , we get

=> 8×(3/2) - 9a = 6

=> 12 - 9a = 6

=> -9a = 6-12

=> -9a = -6

=> a = (-6)/(-9)

=> a =2/3

Therefore,

a = 1/x = 2/3 => x = 3/2

b = 1/y = 3/2 => y = 2/3

hope it helps

Step-by-step explanation:

8x - 9y = 6

90x + 9y = 171

add both

98x = 171 + 6

98x = 177

x = 177/98

y = -(6 + 8*177/98)/9
