By substitution method,

3x+4y=10 & 2x−2y=2⇒2(x−y)=2⇒x−y=1 ___ (2)

∴x=y+1→(1).

Substituting in equation (2).

∴3x+4y=10⇒3(y+1)+4y=10

⇒3y+3+4y=10⇒7y=7⇒y=1

∴x=1+1=2

∴x=2,y=1

Step-by-step explanation:

YOUR ANSWER IS HERE

ELIMINATION METHOD

3x+4y=10------>1

2x-2y=2-

3x+4y=10 2x1=4x-4y=4

7x=14

7x=14

x=14/7

x=2

sub x=2 in 2

2x-2y=2

2(2)-2y=2 4-2y=2 -2y=2-4 -2y=-2 y=1

sub x and y in 1

3x+4y=10

3(2)+4(1)=10 6+4=10

10=10

VERIFY:--

2x-2y=2 2(2)-2(1)=2 4-2=2 2=2
