Let be 1/3x+2y=v
and 1/3x-2y=u
so,8v+3u=17/5 ...............1
5v+u=2 ............................2
Now,u=2-5v
from equation 2
putting the value of u in equation 1
8v+3(2-5v)=17/5
8v+6-18v=17/5
-10v=17/5-6
-10v=17-30/5
-10v= -13/5
v= -13/5/-10
v= -13/5×-10
v=13/50
so, u=2-5(13/50)
u=2-13/10
u=20-13/10
u=7/10
As we know
1/3x+2y=v
1/3x+2y=13/50
cross multiple
39x+26y=50 ......3
and
1/3x-2y=u
1/3x-2y=7/10
21x-14y=10 .......4
You can find the value of x and y
and 1/3x-2y=u
so,8v+3u=17/5 ...............1
5v+u=2 ............................2
Now,u=2-5v
from equation 2
putting the value of u in equation 1
8v+3(2-5v)=17/5
8v+6-18v=17/5
-10v=17/5-6
-10v=17-30/5
-10v= -13/5
v= -13/5/-10
v= -13/5×-10
v=13/50
so, u=2-5(13/50)
u=2-13/10
u=20-13/10
u=7/10
As we know
1/3x+2y=v
1/3x+2y=13/50
cross multiple
39x+26y=50 ......3
and
1/3x-2y=u
1/3x-2y=7/10
21x-14y=10 .......4
You can find the value of x and y
