Solve for X and Y

x \:  -  \: y \:  =  \: 3 \\  \\  2x \:  +  \: 3y \:  =  \: 6

x - y = 3.....1
2x + 3y = 6.....2
multiply 1 with 3 we get
3x - 3y = 9.....3
adding 2 and 3
we get
5x = 15 \\ x =  \frac{15}{5}  \\ x = 3
Putting x=3 in 1
3 - y = 3 \\  - y = 3 - 3 \\ y = 0
