Given :

  • 2x + y = 7
  • 4x - 3y + 1 = 0

To Find :

  • Value of x and y = ?

Solution :

The given system of equations is :

  • 2x + y = 7 - (i)
  • 4x - 3y = - 1 - (ii)

From equation (i), we get

⟹ y = 7 - 2x

Substituting, y = 7 - 2x in equation (ii), we get :

⟹ 4x - 3(7 - 2x) = - 1

⟹ 4x - 21 + 6x = - 1

⟹ 10x = - 1 + 21

⟹ 10x = 20

⟹ x = 20/10

x = 2

Substituting x = 2 in equation (i), we get :

⟹ 2(2) + y = 7

⟹ 4 + y = 7

⟹ y = 7 - 4

y = 3

Hence, The solution is x = 2, y = 3.
