Answer:

The result is 5.34

Step-by-step explanation:

\sqrt{7} x + \sqrt{13} y=0 ---------(1)

\sqrt{5}x +\sqrt{17}y=6 ----------(2)

From (1) we get,

x=-\frac{\sqrt{13}y }{\sqrt{7} }

By putting the value of x into equation no. (2) we get,

\sqrt{5} (-\frac{\sqrt{13}y }{\sqrt{7} } )+\sqrt{7} y=6

-\frac{8y}{\sqrt{7} }+\sqrt{17}y=6

-3y+\sqrt{17}y=6

y(\sqrt{17}-3)=6

y=\frac{6}{\sqrt{17}-3 }

y=5.34
