(a+b)²x²+8(a²−b²)x+16(a−b)²=0

Method-1:

(a+b)²x²+8(a+b)(a−b)x+(4(a−b))²=0

⟹((a+b)x+4(a−b))²=0

⟹x =  \frac{ - 4(a - b)}{a + b}

Method-2

Δ=(8(a²−b²))²−64(a+b)²(a−b)²

⟹Δ=64(a+b)²(a−b)²

−64(a+b)²(a−b)²=0

x =  \frac{ - 8( {a}^{2}  -  {b}^{2} }{ 2(a + b)^{2} }  =  \frac{ - 4(a  -  b)}{(a + b)}  \\ \\  \\   =  \frac{ 4(a  -  b)}{a + b}
