SoluTion:

(1) 4x - 7 - (x + 4) = 3x + 4 - (2x - 1)

→ 4x - 7 - x - 4 = 3x + 4 - 2x + 1

→ 4x - x - 3x + 2x = 4 + 1 + 7 + 4

→ 2x = 16

→ x = 16/2

→ x = 8

(2) 17 ( 2 - x) - 5 ( x + 12 ) = 8

→ 34 - 17x - 5x - 60 = 8

→ -22x + 34 - 60 = 8

→ -22x = 8 + 26

→ x = -32/22

x = -16/11

Solve for x :-

i.) 4x - 7 - (x+4) = 3x + 4 - (2x - 1)

ii.) 17 ( 2 - x) - 5 ( x + 12 ) = 8

\mathtt{\huge{\underline{\green{Answer:-}}}}

➡i.) 8

ii.) -16/11

\mathtt{\huge{\underline{\purple{Solution:-}}}}

(i) 4x - 7 - (x + 4) = 3x + 4 - (2x - 1)

↗ 4x - 7 - x - 4 = 3x + 4 - 2x + 1

↗ 4x - x - 3x + 2x = 4 + 1 + 7 + 4

↗ 3x - 3x + 2x = 5 + 11

↗ 2x = 16

↗ x = 16/2

x = 8

(ii) 17 ( 2 - x) - 5 ( x + 12 ) = 8

↗ 34 - 17x - 5x - 60 = 8

↗ -22x + 34 - 60 = 8

↗ -22x = 8 + 26

↗ x = -32/22

x = -16/11
