(x+3)^1/2 + (x-2)^1/2 = 5

Squaring On Both Side

(x+3) + (x-2) = 25

2x + 1 = 25

2x = 24

x = 12

Answer:

x = 12

Step-by-step explanation:

√x+3 + √x-2 = 5

squaring on both sides will not change the value of x

√(x+3)*(x+3) + √(x-2)*(x-2) = 5*5

square will come out of root 2

x+3+x-2 = 25

2*x +3-2 =25

2*x +1 =25

shift +1 on the other side and it will become -1

2*x =25-1

2*x = 24

shift 2* on the other side and it will become /2

x = 24/2

x = 12
