Above LHS Equation is given inside the mode

=> |x²-x-6|=x+2

Now , the Equation inside mode is the form of a quadratic equation so, firstly factorise it .

=>|x²-3x+2x-6|= x+2

Concept

When we remove mode symbol there will be two values come plus and minus.

=> x²-3x+2x-6=±(x+2)

  • Taking x+2

=> x²-x-6=x+2

=> x²-x-x-6-2

=> x²-2x-8

=>x²-4x+2x-8

=>x(x-4)+2(x-4)

=>(x+2)(x-4)

Makes equal to zero

(x+2)(x-4)=0

x= -2 ,x = 4

  • Taking -(x+2)

=> x²-x-6= -x-2

=>x²-x+x-6+2

=>x²-4

makes equal to zero

=>x²-4= 0

=>x²= 4

x= √4

x= ±2
