Given :-

Solve for x :-

5x - 1/3(x + 1) = 6(x + 1/30)

To Find :-

We have to find the value of x in the given equation.

Solution :-

We can get the value of x by the method below;

5x - 1/3(x + 1) = 6(x + 1/30)

5x - 1/3x - 1/3 = 6(x + 1/30)

⇒ 14/3x - 1/3 = 6(x + 1/30)

⇒ 14/3x - 1/3 = 6x + 6 × (1/30)

⇒ 14/3x - 1/3 = 6x + 6/30

⇒ 14/3x - 1/3 = 6x + 1/5

⇒ 14/3x - 1/3 - 6x = 1/5

⇒ -4/3x - 1/3 = 1/5

⇒ -4/3x = 1/5 + 1/3

⇒ -4/3x = 3/15 + 5/15

⇒ -4/3x = 8/15

⇒ x = 8/15(-3/4)

⇒ x = 8(-3)/15 × 4

⇒ x = -24/60

⇒ x = -2/5

∴ Hence, the value for x will be -2/5.
