x + 2/3 - x - 5/5 = 2x - 3/4 (cross out the two x's)

2/3 - 5/5 = 2x - 3/4 (calculate 2/3 - 5/5)

-1/3 = 2x -3/4 (move the 2x to the left side and change the sign to a minus)

-2x = -3/4 +1/3 (calculate -3/4 + 1/3)

-2x = 5/12 ( divide both sides by -2)

x = 5/24

AyahKat: okay i'll tell you now
AyahKat: x + 2/3 - x - 5/5 = 2x - 3/4
AyahKat: wait wait nvm i'll just edit my answer
AyahKat: there ya go :)
