An equation   (x-3/x-5)>0

To find,

All possible values of x.

Solution,

  • According to the given equation, x-3/x-5 > 0.
  • x-5 is in the denominator of the Left Hand Side and will be multiplied by zero on the Right Hand Side.
  • After that we would be left with the equation,

    ⇒  x - 3 > 0.

    ⇒  x > 3.

  • x > 3 means that x can take all the values which are greater than 3.

Hence, the solution of the equation (x-3/x-5)>0 is x > 3.
