Step-by-step explanation:

Given equation is,

3y+4/2+2y-5/3 = 31/2 →(1)

Simplifying (1) then,

3y+2+2y-5/3 = 31/2

5y+2–5/3 = 31/2

5y = 31/2 + 5/3 - 2

5y = 15.5 + 1.667 - 2

5y = 15.167

y = 15.17/5

y = 3.033

Note: Here numbers are rounded to two decimal digits

Verification:

Put Y=3.033 in (1) then,

3*3.033+4/2+2*3.033–5/3 = 31/2

By BODMAS rule,

L.H.S. = 3*3.033+2+2*3.033–1.667

= 9.099+2+6.066–1.667

= 17.165–1.667

=15.48

R.H.S. = 31/2 = 15.5

Thus, L.H.S. = R.H.S.

Therefore Y=3.03

Answer:-

\frac{2(3y-4)+6}{3y-(4+5y)} = \frac{3}{5}\\\\=>\frac{6y-8+6}{3y-4-5y}  = \frac{3}{5}\\\\=> 30y-10 = -6y-12\\=> 36y = -2\\=>  y = -2/36\\=> y = -1/18
