y-(y-1)/2 =1+(y-2)/3

(2y-y+1)/2=(3+y-2)/3

(y+1)/2 =(y+1)/3

cross multiplication

3(y+1) =2(y+1)

3y+3 =2y+2

3y-2y =2-3

y=-1

y-(y-1)/2 = 1-(y-2)/3

=y-(y-1)/2+(y-2)/3=1

=6y-3y+3+2y-4/6=1

=5y-1/6=1

=5y-1=6

=5y=5

=y=1

That's your answer
