Answer:

x = 1 , y = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

y-2x=2

y=2x+2.....(i)

x+y-5=0

x+y=5......(ii)

On substitution in (ii),

x+2x+2=5

3x=3

x=1

x+y=5

y=5-x

y=5-1

y=4

Answer:

x+y-5=0. ...eq(1)

y-2x=2. ....eq(2)

from eq(1)

x+y-5=0

x+y=5

x= y-5

Now , substituting X=y-5 in eq(2)

y-2x=2

y-2(5-y)=2

y-10+2y=2

y+2y-10=2

3y=2+10

3y=12

y=12/3

y=4
