ares bounded by lines 3x-2y=5, 2x+3y =12 with x-axis = 13/3 sq units

Step-by-step explanation:

3x-2y=5,    Eq1

2x+3y =12   Eq2

3*eq1  + 2 * eq2

=> 13x  = 39

=> x = 3

x = 3  y  = 2  is the intersection point as per graph

at x - axis y = 0

=> x = 5/3   for 3x-2y=5,

=> x = 6   for 2x+3y =12

x 3x - 2y = 5 2x + 3y = 12

x             y                           y

5/3        0                     2.89

3        2                      2

6      6.5                      0

Points are  ( 5/3 , 0)  , ( 6 , 0 )  , (3 , 2)

Area  = (1/2) |  (5/3)(0-2)  + 6(2 - 0)  + 3(0 - 0) |

= (1/2) |  -10/3  + 12 + 0 |

= (1/2)( 26/3)

= 13/3  sq units

ares bounded by these lines with x-axis = 13/3 sq units
