EXPLANATION.
Graphically.
⇒ 3x + 4y = 11. - - - - - (1).
⇒ 2x - y = 0. - - - - - (2).
As we know that,
From equation (1), we get.
⇒ 3x + 4y = 11. - - - - - (1).
Put the value of x = 0 in the equation, we get.
⇒ 3(0) + 4y = 11.
⇒ 4y = 11.
⇒ y = 11/4.
⇒ y = 2.75.
Their Co-ordinates = (0,2.75).
Put the value of y = 0 in the equation, we get.
⇒ 3x + 4(0) = 11.
⇒ 3x = 11.
⇒ x = 11/3.
⇒ x = 3.66.
Their Co-ordinates = (3.66,0).
From equation (2), we get.
⇒ 2x - y = 0. - - - - - (2).
Put the value of x = 0 in the equation, we get.
⇒ 2(0) - y = 0.
⇒ - y = 0.
⇒ y = 0.
Their Co-ordinates = (0,0).
Put the value of y = 0 in the equation, we get.
⇒ 2x - (0) = 0.
⇒ 2x = 0.
⇒ x = 0.
Their Co-ordinates = (0,0).
Both curves intersects at a point = (1,2).
