SOLUTION

TO DETERMINE

Solve graphically the following pair of linear equations

3x + y + 1 = 0

2x - 3y + 8 = 0

EVALUATION

Here the given pair of linear equations are

3x + y + 1 = 0 - - - - (1)

2x - 3y + 8 = 0 - - - - (2)

Graph : Graph is referred to the attachment

In the graph red line represent the first line and green line represent the second line

The two lines intersect at the point A

The coordinates of the point A is (-1,2)

So the required solution is x = - 1 , y = 2
