A pair of  linear equations in two variables will be represented by two straight lines taken together.

•In order to represent the pair of  linear equation graphically we need two points on the line representing each equation.
• Prepare the proper table of at least 2 solutions for both the equations.
•Draw the graph of both the question on the same graph paper with same scale of  representation.

SOLUTION:

Given pair of Linear Equations are:
5x - y =5  ……………….(1)
3x - 2y = - 4 …………….(2)

Put x= 0 in eq 1
5x - y =5
5×0 - y = 5
0 -y = 5
y = - 5

(0,-5)

Put y= 0 in eq 1
5x - 0 = 5
5x = 5
x = 5/5 =1

(1,0)

Put x= 0 in eq 2
3x - 2y = - 4
3×0 -2y = -4
0 -2y = -4
2y = 4
y = 4/2 = 2

(0,2)

Put y= 5 in eq 2
3x - 2×5= -4
3x -10  = -4
3x = - 4 +10
3x = 6
x = 6/3 = 2
x = 2

(2,5)

TABLE AND GRAPH are on the ATTACHMENT.

The given pair of linear equations intersect each other at point D (2,5).
The coordinates of the points where the line intersect y axis are A (0,-5) & C (0,2).
