Step-by-step explanation:

For two lines to be parallel,

a

2

a

1

=

b

2

b

1

=

c

2

c

1

-----equation(1)

where, a and b are coefficients of x and y and c is constant

Here, the lines are x+2y=4 and 2x+4y=12

As we can see that,

2

1

=

4

2

=

12

4

which is same as the condition of equation (1), hence given lines are parallel

Not possible in this time but I can help you with this....

1) x+y = 4

=> y = 4-x

Now You can take any value of x and find y corresponding to the value of x...

Suppose,

x = 0 then y = 4-0 = 4 => (0, 4)

x = 1 then y = 4-1 = 3 => (1, 3)

x = 2 then y = 4-2 = 2 => (2, 2)

x= 3 then y = 4-3 = 1 => (3, 1)

Now plot all the above four coordinates on the graph paper, u will get it.
