if linear pair is in ratio of 2:3
so let ratio be in x
2x and 3x
sum of linear pair = 180
so 2x+3x=180
5x=180
x=180/5
x=36
so angles are 2x = 2×36= 72
3x= 3×36=108

29. Let the two angles be 2x and 3x (As the ratio is 2:3).
∴ 2x + 3x = 180°                                           [Linear pair]
           5x = 180°
             x = 180° ÷ 5
          ∴ x = 36°

2x = 2 × 36°
     = 72°

3x = 3 × 36°
     = 108°

∴The two angles are 72° and 108°.

30. x + y = 90° → 1                                    [Complementary angles]
    An angle is four times it's complement,
   ∴ x = 4y → 2

Substituting 2 in 1, we get:
 x + y = 90°
4y + y = 90°
      5y = 90°
        y = 90° ÷ 5
   ∴ y = 18°

x = 4y
   = 4 (18°)
  ∴ x = 72°
