Answer:

here is your answer mate...

Step-by-step explanation:

Each Side of a regular hexagon be 8cm

=> its perimeter = 8 x 6 = 48 cm

So, perimeter of equilateral triangle = 48 cm

=> each side of the triangle = 48/3 = 16 cm.

Now, area of equilateral triangle = √3/4 a²

=> area( triangle) = √3/4 * 16*16 = 64√3 cm² …………..(1)

Now area of regular hexagon =

If each vertex of hexagon is joined with its centre. Regular Hexagon will be divided into 6 equilateral triangles. Because, each angle of regular hexagon = (n-2)*180 / n = (6–2)*180 /6 = 720/6 = 120°

So each angle of so formed equilateral triangle will be= 60°

And area of this equilateral triangle = √3/4 * 8² = 16√3 cm²

So, area of all 6 equilateral triangles = 16√3 * 6 = 96√3 cm ²

=> area( regulat hexagon) = 96√3 cm² ……….(2) Now,difference of eq (1) & (2)

96√3 - 64√3 = 32√3 cm² …………
