In first circuit heat produced would be greatest bcz current will remain constant in 1st circuit whereas in 2nd circuit it will decrease since it gets divided. In 1st circuit maximum current will be multiplied with each resistance (H=I^2RT), BUT IN 2ND CIRCUIT DIVIDED CURRENT WOULD BE MULTIPLIED WITH RRSISTANCE.
