The given equation is x-\frac{1}{2}=0

Now, we transpose \frac{1}{2} to the other side

It becomes x=\frac{1}{2}

Therefore the value of x is \frac{1}{2}

Answer:

hey,

x - 1/2 =0

 x- 1   = 2

     x  = 2/1

     x  = 2

shreyags15: its correct
Swetha02: How?
Swetha02: We cannot transpose 2 like that...
chchfhcy: if 2 go to the rhs it multiple with 0
shreyags15: reciprocal of 1/2 is 2/1 ,when it come to other hand side
shreyags15: sorry value of x is 1
chchfhcy: really
Swetha02: I don't think that it's right...
siddhartharao77: x - (1/2) = 0

2x - 1 = 0

2x = 1

x = 1/2
Swetha02: :)
