Step-by-step explanation:

3x + y =-3 equation (1)

4x +5y = -23 equation(2)

Multiply (1) with 5 and substract with equation (2) we get,

15x + 5y = -15

-4x -5y = 23

11x = 8

or, x = 8/11

put the value of x into the equation (1) we get,

3.(8/11) + y = -3

or, 24/11 + y = -3

or, y = -3 -24/11

or, y = (-33-24)/11

So, y = -57/11

So the result, (x,y) = ( 8/11,-57/11)
