The given system of equation :-

3x - 5y = -1 ------ (1)

x - y = -1 ---------- (2)

Solving this by substitution method.

From (2) we get :-

y = x + 1

Substitute y = x + 1 in (1) we get :-

3x - 5 ( x + 1 ) = - 1

-2x - 5 = -1

-2x = 4

x = -2

Put x = - 2 in y = x + 1 we get :-

y = -1

At last final Solution of the given system of equations :-

x = -2

And

y = -1
